Electronic Discharge Summaries (EDS)

GPQ works with practices, General Practice Networks and Medicare Locals to promote and support the uptake of the Queensland Health (QH) Enterprise Discharge Summary. The Enterprise Discharge Summary is an electronic discharge summary (EDS) sent from QH Hospitals to General Practitioners (GPs).

Currently 75% of GPs are enabled to receive EDS. In order for practices to receive the EDS they need to be enabled to receive secure messaging and have this status recorded in the QH STS Address book.
