Data Quality Group
In addition to the eHealth Steering Group which provides overall strategic advice and direction in eHealth, a new Queensland Data Quality Group (DQG) is also operational.The DQG comprises of key General Practice Network and Medicare Local program coordinators and is chaired by a division CEO and evolved from the Data Collection Working Group which was formed in 2008.
This DQG meets bi-monthly with the first meeting held in February 2010.
The Data Collection Working Group identified four key priorities, including:
- a standardised electronic survey (GP Census);
- training for the GP Census;
- a data portal; and
- a data quality framework.
Data Quality Guide
To assist General Practice Networks and Medicare Locals with data quality activities, GPQ and the Data Quality Group have developed a new Data Quality Guide.The Data Quality Guide aims to provide a series of principles that underpin data quality, and a series of steps and tools that can be applied with general practices with the aim of improving data quality.

Information Management Maturity Framework (IMMF)
The Information Management Maturity Framework (IMMF) is a management tool for internal use within General Practice Networks and Medicare Locals to help develop information management (IM) plans for continuous improvement in capacity, linked to divisional program service delivery priorities and business opportunities.This framework has been developed specifically for use by General Practice Networks and Medicare Locals in Australia.
